Peppers

Something like the bell pepper and hot peppers have been cultivated for more than 9000 years, with the earliest cultivation having taken place in South and Central American civilizations.

When Christopher Columbus and his crew reached the Caribbean, they were the first Europeans to encounter Capsicum. They called them "peppers" because, like black pepper known in Europe, they have a spicy, hot taste, unlike other foods many Europeans were used to.

In 2016, 34.5 million tonnes of green chilli peppers and 3.9 million tonnes of dried chilli peppers were produced worldwide.  With your tower garden, you can remove food miles and grow all your peppers at home.
