Like an EC pen, but better.  This truncheon was voted the world's favourite conductivity meter.  "Simply brilliant, brilliantly simple!"
 
There's no need to calibrate the truncheon, and all you have to do is place the end of the probe into the solution and read off the result indicated by the flashing lights.
